Teresa Czmowski, 87, of Rapid City died, at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Monday, July 06, 2015. She was born March 10, 1928 in Webster, SD to Frank and Elenora Buittner. She grew up in Webster and went to school until the eighth grade. She married Eugene Czmowski on January 20th 1953 in Webster. They lived on the family farm until moving to Rapid City in 1961. She worked on the farm beside Gene, until they moved to Rapid City, and then as a maid at the Imperial Inn for a number of years and then for 20 years at MPI as it transitioned to SCI and then Sanmina-SCI. She retired from the working world in 1998. While her working roles and companies changed over the years, the primary focuses of her life never changed: Family and Faith. Her family, children and grandchildren were of great importance to her and she took great care to make sure they had things they needed; a cookie, trip to school or a warm tender hug. Sunday dinner was a staple of the warm family environment she created for all who came into the family, or in any way were touched by her gentle soul and caring heart. Her potato salad and cinnamon roll recipes are lost to us, but gained by heaven. Her faith was of great importance. Faith lessons she learned; she passed on and deepened to all who were fortunate to be touched by her ever-flowing faith. Though not rich in things of the earth, she would give you all she had and ask nothing in return. She lived meekly, but loved others and God with the heart of a lion. To know Teresa, was to see the Beatitudes in action. She is survived by, 3 sons: Michael (Rapid City), Roger (St Louis), Richard (Rapid City) and 3 daughters: Barbara Prosser (Crawford, NE), Donna Czmowski (Rapid City) and Karen Schaffer (Steve) Sioux Falls, SD; 9 grandchildren (Bill, Brian, Amanda, L.J., Scott, Justin, Eric, Kristen and Sean); 5 great-grandchildren; as well as brothers Art and Tony and sister: Isabilla.
