Rose O. Green, 96, Rapid City, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.Rose was born May 18, 1918 in Jackson, Kentucky. She grew up in that area and married Jasper Green. They lived in various places including West Virginia and wherever the coal mines would take them. Upon the retirement of her son from the US Air Force at Ellsworth Air Force Base in 1980, they moved to Rapid City to be near him and his family.She was active in area churches including Knollwood Baptist and Rapid Valley Baptist.Rose is survived by 2 sons, Jasper Green, Jr., Rapid City, Elijah Green, Cleveland, OH; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Green, Sr., October 15, 2002, 2 daughters and a brother. | |
