James L. 'Jim' Jirsa

James L. ‘Jim’ Jirsa, 63, Rapid City, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer, elk, antelope and pheasant hunting. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Jim spent much of his free time with designing and building. He was always willing to lend a hand to others and was often seen assisting his friends and family with various projects. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He was a loving husband, son, dad, grandpa, uncle, brother and friend.Jim is survived by his wife, Chris Jirsa; mother, Mary Jirsa; brother, Randy (Linda) Jirsa; sisier, Nikki Schaffer; son, Daniel James (Kim) Jirsa; 4 daughters, Laura (Ray) Jeppesen, Jamie (Kevin) Slinkard, Cathy (Doug) Veit, Rebecca (Dave) Osterman; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
