A memorial marker to Leatta and her husband Paul will be laid in the Ness family plot at Pine Lawn Cemetery on Skyline Dr., Rapid City, SD. Leatta E. Ness, long time resident of Rapid City, died on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD. She was 86 yrs. old. Leatta is survived by her daughter Catherine C. Ness of Rapid City and her son Jeffry S. Ness of Hot Springs. Also surviving are her two sisters, Elnora Schelske VonVerdo of Los Angeles, CA and Francis Schelske Mathis of Mitchell, SD, and a brother, Bernard Schelske of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Leatta was preceded in death by her husband of 61 yrs., Paul C. Ness, her daughter Sandra Ness Sittner and her son, Gregory Paul Ness. | |
