Services for Hazel Maxine Frenzen, 84, Rapid City, who died Sunday March 30, 2008 at Fountain Springs Health Care, will be at 1 p.m. Monday April 7th at Behrens Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Jaybill Frenzen. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday April 6th.

Maxine was born May 28, 1923, to Wilfred and Ethel (Chaffee) Lanctot near New Underwood, SD where she attended school. In 1943 she moved to Rapid City and worked as a waitress at the downtown Woolworth store. She met her husband, Jaybill Frenzen; in La Junta, CO; and they were later married in Raton, New Mexico on July 9, 1950. Survivors include a son, Lee J Simpson, in the U.S. Navy currently serving overseas. She was preceded in death by her husband Jaybill Frenzen, Dec. 31, 1990; daughter Donna E Simpson and her parents.
