Mary Jane Peck, 74, Rapid City, passed away at her son Robert Goulding’s home, May 26, 2006. She was born December 16, 1931 in Halliday, North Dakota, to Emmett W. and Martha M. (Schulz) Peck. She was delivered by her grandmother Schulz, a midwife. She was the second of five children. Mary grew up near Baker, MT and Camp Crook, SD and graduated from Belle Fourche high school in 1950. She attended Medical Laboratory School in Minneapolis and worked as a Lab Tech in SD and ND and for the VA in Havre de Grace, MD and Dayton, OH for over 30 years. In 1992 Mary returned to Hot Springs and Rapid City. She is survived by her son Robert Goulding and wife Nancy, Rapid City, granddaughters Genevieve Goulding, Denver, CO and Meghan Goulding, Rapid City, her sister Elaine Molitor, Hot Springs, brothers, Vearl Peck and wife Joyce and Dennett Peck and wife Deanna, Rapid City, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aunts and uncles and her youngest brother Harvey Peck at age 7. Mary lived a full life, enjoyed her retirement and loved to travel. She traveled to Russia and later to China, Tahiti and Hawaii with her sister Elaine. She traveled on numerous bus tours with her brother Vearl and sister-in-law Joyce throughout the USA and also to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia. Mary was very fond of her dear son Robert and her dear daughter-in-law Nancy, and loved to spend time with her beloved granddaughters. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, card games and bingo with her friends at Holiday Hills Estates, her last home.
