Interment will follow at Rochford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday, March 5, 2012 at the funeral home. |

Alta Elaine Deskins, 73, Box Elder, died Saturday, March 03, 2012 at his Rapid City Regional Hospital.. Alta was born May 24, 1938 to Mark and Alta (McCrady) Walker in Platte, Nebraska. In 1959 she married Kenneth Deskins. Alta retired from EAFB where she was employed through the Civil Service. She also was an aid on the special education school bus.Alta took great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed go-karting, fishing and hunting. Alta is survived by her son William and wife Amy Deskins, Box Elder, daughter Ronda Larsen and fiancée Tony Parker, Fairburn; 5 grandchildren, Josh and wife Megan Deskins, Oree and Sarah Deskins; Dustin and wife Skye Row and Ashley Row; 2 great grandchildren, Tyson and Bryce Deskins; a sister, Mary Halsey, Springfield, a brother, Mark Walker, Tuthill. Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Deskins, January 4, 2005, great granddaughter, Destiny Brave Row; sisters, Betty , Lucy, brothers, Wendell and Leslie. | |
