Charles Ray Patterson went to his eternal home on February 16, 2020. He was born in Tulare, California on February 4, 1950 to Willie Patterson and Frances (Burroughs) Patterson. He spent his early years in California. He brought his family to Rapid City from the Philippines in 2006 and became well known in the Rapid City Area as a driver for the Cornerstone Mission. He communicated in a very straight forward manner to all his family, friends and associates. He loved to take walks and admire the handwork of the Lord around him. Charles loved reading his bible and talking about Jesus and his faith to others. He was a strong and determined gentleman. He fought diabetes with the gallantry of a Knight. He endured several surgeries, spent time in physical rehabilitation centers and was at Monumental Health Hospital at the time of his death as a result of complications from the diabetes – Kidney failure and blood clot. He leaves behind his daughter, Vanessa, and his son, David. He leaves them with a deep understanding of one of his favorite verses: Everything Has Its Time Ecclesiastes 3 1-4. | |
