Alvin Donald Sjomeling, 84, Rapid City, died peacefully at Monument Health Home Plus Hospice, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 after a weeks stay. He was born in Herreid, SD where he attended school. He married Shirley Renner whom he loved dearly for 64 years. They had one son, 3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He worked at Camp Rapid as a maintenance man. He loved his wood working and the outdoors and never was there a day when you seen Alvin without Charlie, his beloved dog and best friend.
He is survived by his sweetheart wife Shirley, 2 nephews, Bill and Steve Sjomeling, and 3 grand nieces, Tammy Keffeler, Kathy Sjomeling and Lynn Bradley.
