John Douglas Molitor passed away peacefully Sept 11 2019. He was born in Burbank, CA on May 27th 1939 to Orville and Mamie (Peldo) Molitor. The family relocated to South Dakota when he was young– growing up in Deadwood, SD. John liked to tinker; he liked fixing things, many things like THAT DATSUN! From what was in his storage unit he didn’t want to run out of parts for that car!! There were several things he enjoyed John was an avid book reader he could read all night if the book was an awesome read. He would tell us to get the book, then proceed to tell us how the story went by the time he was finished we didn’t need to buy the book! He was an avid animal lover he tried to care for as many as he could he would feed the strays even when he knew it was against to complex’s policy he just couldn’t stand to see them starve or freeze to death. John was good at lending a hand to help fix a car (sometimes the car fix didn’t go as planned) or help move family (his sister!!haha). He always had a joke or a story to tell– Here is a few that his brother Bill had to share John is survived by his siblings: Delbert (Linda) Molitor of Phoenix, AZ, Bill (Sandra) Molitor of Sturgis, SD, 2 sisters Darlene Reiss of Rapid City, SD and Lila (John) Harmon of Brandywine, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death his parents, numerous aunts and uncles | |
