Visitation will be from 4-6p.m. Monday, November 27 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. A time of musical remembrance will follow at the Black Hawk Community Church at 7p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday the 28th of November at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with Ken Fairbrother officiating.  Burial will Follow at Valley View Cemetery in Black Hawk.

Charles L. Hof, 66, of Black Hawk, SD left this world to be with his Savior November 22, 2017 in Rapid City, SD.

Charles was born in Madison, SD to Fred and Viola Hof on December 29, 1950.  The family moved to Black Hawk, SD in 1963 where he attended Black Hawk School and West Junior High.  Chuck married Jean M. Kienzle on August 15, 1969; the same year he graduated from Central High School in Rapid City, SD.  Chuck and Jean made their home in Black Hawk, SD.  Chuck worked as a kiln operator for Pete Lien and Sons for forty years before retiring in 2010. Unknowingly, Chuck developed MSA during 2010.

Charles is survived by his wife Jean. His children: Dennis (Heidi), Daniel (Tonya), Douglas, Devin (Jeremy), Dianna (Joshua); and his twelve grandchildren. His siblings: Emmet (Patty), Esther (Melvin), and Tamera (David).  Chuck was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Charles will be remembered as a friend, hunting partner, fishing pal and lover of all music.  Chuck is preceded in death by a sister, his mother, brother and father.

Memorial donation may be made to the Black Hawk Community Church, Vacation Bible School fund as Charles looked forward to this event every year.  The family of Chuck wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Fountain Springs Nursing Home’s amazing staff and Hospice and to the body of believers at the Black Hawk Community Church for their love and support.
