Marlis A Sunding

Marlis A. Sunding, 82, Hot Springs, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

She was born May 17, 1935 in Plankinton, SD to Elmer and Myrtle (Smith) Tietz and grew up on a farm in that area.

She later married Marvin K. Sunding. They have been together since 1989 living in Buffalo Gap and Hot Springs.

Marlis loved children and cared for many. She always had a special way with them.

She also loved gardening, especially her flowers.

Marlis is survived by her husband, Marvin; his daughters, Lynn (Eldon) Tarrell, Sandy Standen; her daughter, Shelly (Dale) Lockhart; 4 grandchildren, Ryon, Lance, Cody, Brandon; numerous great grandchildren and 2 siblings.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Crinklaw and 12 siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Hot Springs.
