Gary Howard Bennett, 48, Box Elder, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Minneapolis VA Hospital.Gary was born Jan. 1, 1961, at Amarillo AFB, TX, to Gordon and Lois (Davis) Bennett.After attending school at Rapid City Central High School, he joined the U.S. Army and became a medic. After military service he worked in Rapid City and married Robyn Smith. They lived in Box Elder, before moving to Nebraska. Later, Gary moved back to Rapid City and Box Elder.Survivors include his mother, Lois Bennett, Rapid City; his brother, Lyle and Kris Bennett, Seattle, WA; two sisters, Tina (Valentin) Carrillo, Mathis, TX and Lark Bennett (Bill Beach), Rapid City; and his former wife, Robyn.He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. | |
