January 20, 1926 - March 9, 2016 Service Date: March 14, 2016 Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home followed by a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7:00 p.m.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Zandri as celebrant. Burial will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park. |

Calvin A. Neiss, 90, Rapid City, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Golden Livingcenter Black Hills.He was born January 20, 1926 in Rosebud to John and Laurine (Murray) Neiss. He was raised in that area and graduated from Mission High School in 1945.Calvin married Edith E. Kinsley on February 7, 1948 in Rosebud. He began his career as an ammunition Inspector for the US Government in 1952 retiring in 1975. They then moved to Rapid City where they have resided since.He was a volunteer at the food bank for 13 years.Calvin is survived by his wife, Edith, Rapid City; 5 daughters, Jaundel Moore, Dubuque, IA, Barbara Rowland, Rapid City, Diane Belk, Freeport, IL, Judy Bergman, Phoenix, AZ, Rena Leite, Rapid City; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. | |
