September 29, 1932 - January 16, 2011 Service Date: January 21, 2011 Visitation will be 11:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m., Friday Jan. 21st at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:30 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery with Chaplain Ralph Vencill officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rushmore VFW Post #1273 Honor Guard. |

Arthur Sanford VanDale, 78, Rapid City, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 at Ft. Meade VA Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1932 in Mitchell, SD. Arthur was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Shirley VanDale, Clark; two sons, David VanDale, Rapid City; Alan Farness, Watertown; a daughter, Sharlene Bachmann, Watertown and three grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan and Caleb. | |
