Wilma E Schauer, 79, Eureka and formerly of Rapid City died Saturday Sept. 11, 2010 at the Avera Eureka Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 13, 1930 to Fred and Bertha (Ackerman) Levi in Artas, SD where she grew up. Wilma graduated from Eureka High School in 1948 and worked at ASC in Mound City. She married John Schauer May 15, 1955 in Eureka. They lived in various places including Lead, Herreid, Barnard, Orient and Wall where she worked at the Best Western Motel from 1980 to 1999. Wilma is survived by her son Dave Schauer, Belgrade, MT; 3 grandchildren, Jamie Stiegelmeier; Amanda Westby and Jonathon Stierwalt all of Rapid City; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Margie Wald and Nila Knoepfle, both of Eureka. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Schauer on Jan. 20, 1999 2 daughters, Vicki R. Stierwalt and Jody Schauer and a grandson, Adam Westby.
