Service Date October 31, 2006
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday Oct. 31, 2006 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with Allen Tolliver of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors provided by the VFW Post #1273 Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Monday Oct. 30, 2006 at the funeral home.
William O. Havens, 75, Rapid City, died Wednesday Oct. 25, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. William joined the National Guard when he was 17 and was activated into the US Army Sept. 3, 1950 and was honorably discharged May 12, 1952. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Havens, Rapid City; 2 daughters, Terry Lynn Havens-Tannenholz, Boise, ID; Mari Havens, Rapid City; son Gary Havens, Rapid City; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
