Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at Black Hills National Cemetery with Chaplain Ralph Vencill officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rushmore VFW Post #1273 Honor Guard.

William D. Rutan, 81, Rapid City, died Saturday Dec. 24, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He entered the US Air Force Aug. 31, 1951 and was honorably discharged August 30, 1955. He is survived by his sister Dorthy ‘Dot’ Young, Eastaboga, Alabama; his half brother Bob Ruby, Oregon and his niece Terry Robertson, Rapid City. He is preceded in death by his brother, Sath Rutan, his sister Darlene Johnson, his half brother Jim Ruby and his parents.
