Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday March 1, 2007 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Father Mike Mulloy as celebrant. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday Feb. 28, 2007 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with a wake service following at 7 p.m.

Viola June “Vi” Braun, 78, Rapid City and formerly of Lead, died Monday Feb. 26, 2007 at the David M. Dorsett Health Care Center in Spearfish. Viola is survived by three sons, Dennis and wife Lynnette Braun, Rapid City; Ferdinand and wife Giok-Tin Braun, Seward, AK; Vince and wife Connie Braun, Rapid City; two daughters, Patricia Braun, Rapid City; Valerie Holbrook, Kent WA; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Wise, St. Louis, MO and sister, Pat Chaney, Sturgis. She was preceded in death by her husband James Braun, 1992; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
