Troy Douglas Goetz, 50, Rapid City, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House. He was born June 25, 1965 in Duluth, MN to Jerome and Margaret (Nygaard) Goetz. Troy was a very hard worker. In 2011, after the flood in Minot, ND he moved to Rapid City where he worked for Dakota Panel. He was always a ‘Happy Go Lucky’ person; even during chemo he was upbeat and happy. He loved spending time with his children and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Troy is survived by his son, Nathan Goetz; his daughter Samantha Goetz, both of Minot, ND; his mother, Margaret Goetz, Rapid City; two brothers, Todd (Karen) Goetz, Box Elder; and Terry (Kristi) Goetz, Ponca, NE; his sister, Tammy (Bob) Allen, Rapid City and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
