Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis with Pastor Donnie Williams as officiant. Full military honors will be provided by VFW Post #1273 Rushmore Honor Guard.

Thomas E. Knight, 75, Rapid City, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Ft. Meade Medical Center, Ft. Meade, SD.He was born April 4, 1938 in Rapid City to James ‘Sig’ and Hazel F. (Fenner) Knight. He entered the US Navy in 1955 and served in the Pacific until being honorably discharged in 1959.Thomas married Donna Churchill in 1961 in Rapid City. He worked as an electrician for Black Hills Power and Light and Ted Jacobson for many years.He and his family lived in Reno, NV from 1983-1991 when they returned to Rapid City.He was an avid fisherman and hunter especially for geese as well as an accomplished archer winning numerous awards.Thomas is survived by a daughter Kelly Knight, Reno, NV; 2 sons, T.J. Knight, Greg Knight both of Rapid City and 3 grandchildren, Nicolas, Matthew and Trevor.He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna on February 11, 1997.
