Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, from 6-7 p.m. at St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church in Rapid City, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 4, 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Joques with Rev. Ed Witt celebrating. Burial will follow, at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.

Sylvia Arguello, 92, of Rapid City, SD passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1924 in Humboldt, KS to Clementea and Gregoria (Serrato) Torres. She is survived by four children, Tito Arguello, Eddie Martinez, Bea Arguello, and Louis Arguello, all of Rapid City; two sisters, Trina Roman, and Saferina Davila, both of Rapid City; two brothers John Torres of Minnesota, and Paul Torres of Hot Springs, SD; her 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Arguello who passed away, March 25, 2001 and two sisters, Francis Tobias of Rapid City; and Mary Contreras of Texas. A special thanks to Ed Alexander for all of his love, support, and tender loving care, WRIL, doctors and staff at RCRH, and family and friends for all of their love and support on mom’s journey home.
