Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, with Rev. Eric Grinager and Rev. Jay Binnebose officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home.

Sharon Jean Binnebose, 70, died peacefully surrounded by family at her home.Sharon was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Danville, IL, to Douglas Nelson and Evelyn Jean (Hines) Carlock. She travelled the world with her family throughout her childhood and graduated from Central High School, Rapid City, in 1961. Sharon married Virgil L. Binnebose on Sept. 2, 1960, at Ellsworth Air Force Base.After raising her family, Sharon was active in retail sales and management. Following her retirement, she volunteered many hours at the gift shop at Rapid City Regional Hospital.Sharon was a member of the Black Hills Country Music Association, Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary and spent much time and love hand stitching quilts.She was loved and will be missed by all.Sharon is survived by her three children, Larry Binnebose (Jane Harty), Lori (Stewart) Joyce, Linda (David) Randolph, seven grandchildren, Sarah Gillen, Bradley (Marissa) Binnebose, Tracey Gillen, Lesley Joyce, Jessica Binnebose, Natalie Joyce, Michelle Joyce all of Rapid City, three great-grandchildren, Rhea Hunter, Broderick Binnebose, Korbin McClain, her mother, Evelyn Futujma, CO, three brothers and two sisters.She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, on March 20, 2005, her father, a brother, John, and a sister, Thelma Shoemaker.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, with Rev.
