I absolutely adore this silly adorable chum chum of friendship that always greeted me friends my children with encouraging words a smile and seemed to be a selfless man of God! He was loved by my family as if we known him a lifetime! He never let us down always giggled at our gestures. He was very beautiful and very much missed!!!!! He treated everyone the same. He was a pure loving huggable loveable man. He was an Angel on earth those that replaced him could not match this man’s integrity!

Phillip thank you for always praying for my children asking about them the great hugs being a strong man of God! You always smile cared and came to share word of God! I last seen you as we usually see each other at Walmart you shopping and we all hugged praying for you and each other and only today I realized you graduated to see the King of Kings and Lord of Lords hugs in spirit my dear friend!!!!

We enjoyed Phil as a very loyal member of the interdenominational Community Prayer group. He was always quick to share just the right scripture verse -- often from Isaiah. He was always friendly and persevering even as his health deteriorated. He truly loved and enjoyed people.

Our brother Phil has been a true leader by example in studying the Word of God. He always had a scripture to share at just the right moment. We enjoyed his exuberant worship! Phil was an encourager and a good friend. Our church services will never be the same without him. We look forward to reuniting again in Eternity!

What a "gentle giant" Phil was! Wherever he showed up, the atmosphere changed! He always carried his Bible, but better yet, he had Gods Word chiseled on the tablet of his heart! He will be greatly missed!

I am sorry to hear of Phil's passing. We shared many holiday meals together as well as worshipping together at Trinity Lutheran. I appreciated his kind eyes and his easy-going manner. He will make heaven a richer place for the rest of us. Much love to those he left behind.

Dear Patty, My condolences to you on the passing of another dear brother. I was saddened to hear that he had to battle cancer. I’m holding you, and Bob & family close in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Phil in September, 1975. He was one of my students at the South Dakota School of Mines. He was a very good student. After graduating with a chemical engineering degree, we would see him frequently around town and always at church. He became a friend of our family and would visit our home at least once a month. He was almost "family". We will miss him.

I'm so sorry to hear that Phil has passed away. He was so kind and caring and made a point to talk to me and make me feel welcomed when I started my Junior year in Miller High School. I'm glad he is no longer suffering and he's in God's hands.

Phil was a classmate of mine in Miller during our elementary and junior high years. I admired him and befriended him for his intellect. Though I have not seen him since the occasional high school encounter, I have thought of him many times over the years. This is the effect good people have on you, you never forget them. I wish I could have had more moments with him, but I thank God for those I was given. I will think of him from time to time for the rest of my life. May God welcome him into his arms.
