Patrick Andle Hoekema, 60, Custer, died Tuesday April 15, 2014 at home. He was born June 16, 1953 in Spokane, WA to Donald and Mary (Taylor) Hoekema. He served in the US Navy and retired Dec 31, 1993. He is survived by his children, Michael Colleen Bense-Spruill and her husband Mark, Salem, VA; Hanna May Bense, Custer; Shaun Patrick Hoekema, Kailua Kona, HI; his sister, Julie Graeber, Custer; his brother James Hoekema and wife Karen, Spokane, WA; his best friend, Allen Bly, Spokane and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
