Funeral services for Myron O. Bunkowske, 51, Rapid City, SD will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Vergas, MN, where he was baptized and confirmed, with Rev. William Paepke of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Rapid City officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Myron Owen Bunkowske died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his home in Rapid City.He was born October 29, 1955 in Perham, MN to Milton and Caroline (Janke) Bunkowske. He was raised in Vergas graduating from FHS in 1974. He moved to the Rapid City area following high school and has worked in floor covering since.He married Lisa French June 23, 2006 in Rapid City, SD.He enjoyed woodworking, especially parquet tables, gardening and loved the outdoors and fishing.He is survived by his wife, Lisa Bunkowske, 2 sons, Gregory Bunkowske, Travis Bunkowske, 2 step sons, Shane French, Shawn French all of Rapid City; his mother and step father, Caroline and Vernon Gorentz, a brother, Keith(Shelley) Bunkowske all of Vergas, MN, 4 sisters, Carmen(Steve) Ehnert, Vergas, MN, Margie(Scott) Gilles, St. Paul, MN, Joan(Jeff) Niemann, Bismarck, ND, Renee(Paul) Barta, Monroe, WI.He was preceded in death by his father, Milton in 1999.
