Marilyn was a long time volunteer with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for over 8 years. She helped her neighbors at Jackson Heights in a variety of ways and during her 8 years. She contributed 1,100 hours assisting with the meals program, and evening and weekend meals and other projects. She was a great volunteer and we will miss her for a very long time. My sincere condolences to the family.

The hard part of writing an obit for a 94-year-old is condensing it down to the bare essentials. Would have been easy to write several pages. Rest in peace Mom! You will be greatly missed!

Grandma Hockenbary, i know i could be a handful, but you always loved me and were there no matter what. You always wanted what was best for me and i Married who was best for me in 2001. You and my Beautiful Wife share a Birthday of March 20. You watched over me, in times that i know i was a pain, but i was always thankful for everything you ever taught me. Grandma Hockenbary, I'm glad i was able to see you, hold your hand, and give you a last kiss before you went to be with God. I Love you and will always miss your charming beautiful smile and your warm hugs.
