Kathleen (Kay) Reuland Wolff, 90, passed away peacefully October 22, 2015, at the Golden Living Center Bella Vista, surrounded by the love and deep caring of her family.Kay was born March 5, 1925 in Aberdeen, SD to August (Gus) and Gladys Reuland. She attended public schools in Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis and completed her teaching degree at the University of Minnesota. Kay married Philip Wolff in Rapid City on August 28, 1948. After raising seven children, Kay returned to teaching French and Spanish at St. Martin’s Academy in Rapid City, SD. She was known for her excellent cooking and gorgeous gardens.Kay is survived by her seven children: Mary (Kevin) Jensen, Mike (Deb) Wolff, John (Andrea) Wolff, all of Rapid City, Anne Smolik of Brookings, Jim (Cheryl) of Rochford,, Kathy (Mike) Frederickson of Minneapolis, MN, Judy (Petter) Hoegset of Norway; her sister Gini Adams of Las Cruces, NM, niece Judy Reuland of Minneapolis, MN, and nephews John and Stephen Reuland.She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sarah (Terry) Hermsen, Melissa (Scott) Hadorn, Mike (Amber) Graves, Matt Graves, Jason (Bethany) Wolff, Amanda Wolff, Erin and Adam Frederickson, Jessica Blake, Espen, Ingrid and Hannah Hoegset, Travis and Ian Wolff and 8 great grandchildren.Kay was preceded in death by her husband Philip, parents Gus and Gladys Reuland, brother James Reuland, son-in-law James Smolik and many aunts and uncles.The family is grateful for the excellent care given to Kay by Bella Vista and Hospice of the Hills.
