Karole Anne (Kruse) Brown, 68, Rapid City, joined her husband James “Just Beyond the Moon” Thursday, April 2Pt. She was at home with her daughter, stepson and dog Bella by her side. Karole was born on June 22, 1947 to Fred and Geraldine Kruse in Sheridan Wyoming. She then grew up in Story and Clearmont, Wyoming. She graduated from National College with a degree in bookkeeping and then obtained a job at Dacotah Cement Plant. On August 27, 1974, Karole married James Brown. They had known each other for 3 weeks and were married for over 38 years. In 1979 Karole began working in Rapid City nursing homes and worked in them for l5 yrs. She and her husband moved to Post Falls, ID for a year before returning to Rapid City. In 1999 Karole began working for the Rapid City School District as head custodian at Jefferson Academy and then custodian at General Beadle. She worked for the RCAS for 10 yrs and 8 mos. until she retired in 2010. After her retirement she took care of her husband and mother. In 2016 she became a member of Black Hills Fellowship Church. Karole was always a kind and generous soul who loved spending time with her family, helping others, being a good Christian, going places and watching the birds. She was truly one of a kind. She is survived by her son Paul (Kellie) Wilson, Montpelier, ID; daughter Cheryl Kruse, Rapid City; stepsons Don (Judy) Sidmore, Newport, WA; Chuck (Mourna) Sidmore, Kalispell, MT; Clifford Brown, Rapid City; Richard (Teresa) Brown, Kalispell, MT; Randy Brown, Rapid City; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother Claud (Maxine) Kruse, Ooltewah, TN; Freddis Williamson, Rapid City; numerous nieces and nephews-and of course her grand-dog Bella. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Geraldine Kruse, husbands Paul V. Wilson Sr. and James H. Brown; brothers Fred Kruse Jr. and Pete Kruse; sisters Betty Kester and Grace Schmuck and stepdaughter Anita Bucki.
