Our deepest condolences to the entire Etzkorn family. I use to work for Meals on Wheels and have many fond memories of Jim. He was always so much fun to work with. Whether we were delivering meals or stopped by and played a game of pool or had a drink and life advice. My sons and a couple of my friends would stop by just to say "Hi" and to check on him. I remember when he wanted to go for a drive in his convertible and drove us around town. Showing us different places he found interesting. He was a very gentle and kind man. After I moved to ND he would joke about me living up in the deep cold weather. We have sinced moved to MO so I didnt get back to SD as much - but the fond memories will remain. May God wrap his loving arms around each of you during this time. RIP Jim - Give Ruth and Sparky hugs!

My late husband and I delivered Meals on Wheels to Jim. He was a delightful and kind man. We looked forward to our weekly chats. We were the beneficiaries of many of his "have a good day today and a better day tomorrow" mentioned in the obituary as well as his gifts of wine. We so enjoyed our connection. My sympathy to Jim's family.

We are so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He made the best beer and his “Dad’s Wine” was wonderful. We still have a bottle or 2 left and we will drink it with special memories.
