She was born Jan. 9, 1917 at Dalzell, SD in Meade Co. to Web and Sylvia (Richards) Fenner, the second of 6 children.  She attended grade school at Dalzell and high school in Wasta.

Hazel was married to James S. “Sig” Knight in Rapid City on Jan. 6, 1937.  To this union was born one son, Thomas.

Hazel was a member of the Rapid Valley Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, her daughter-in-law Donna; 2 brothers, Allen and Harvey Fenner; 1 sister Opal Sieh; 1 sister-in-law Jean Fenner and 2 brothers-in-law Edgar Moore and George Gonzalez.  Having been proud to share her life and will miss her forever are her son Tom Knight, Rapid City; grandchildren, Kelly, TJ, Greg and wife Trish; great grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew Knight; two sisters, Louise Gonzalez, Stockton, CA; Ruby Moore, Black Hawk; one sister-in-law, Florence Fenner, Spearfish; one brother-in-law, Clifford Sieh, Wasta; her card partner, Mary and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and her many friends.
