Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday June 12th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hot Springs. Inurnment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Cold Springs. A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday June 11th at the church.

Gilbert Charles Luers, 86, Hot Springs died Sunday June 8, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1921 in Shakopee, MN to William and Louise (Coeper) Luers. He served in the US Army during WWII from July 7, 1942 and was honorable discharged Nov. 20, 1945. Gilbert is survived by his wife Dorothy Klein Luers, Hot Springs; 4 daughters, Marsha and husband George Moon, Omaha, NE; Monica and husband William Hickman, Omaha, NE; Madonna Luers and husband Woody Myers, Spokane, WA; Diana and husband Larry Bader, Hot Springs; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister.
