Darwin and I grew up playing as children at the Reptile Gardens while our parents worked. We stayed friends for many years until I lost touch with him a few years ago. He was such a kind soul and I'll miss running into him. God bless you Dan and Tom.

Wow, I never expected to see this. Even though sometimes you lose track of your first friends, you always expect to see them just around the corner. Darwin and I went to school together all the way back in 1965 at Garfield - through North Junior High and Central. We went to Church together at St. Johns and were alter boys together. He was always smiling and happy - willing to do whatever he could to help anybody out. We used to play all the time on the playground at Garfield and win or lose , he was happy. We would go to the Buy Rite and buy candy if we could and play around the neighborhood after school, and of course Darwin was smiling. Over the years we drifted apart but whenever we would run in to each other, we would always say we needed to get together for lunch and catch up. I'm sorry that never happened. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that those chances are gone. My prayers go out to his family and I truly believe that Darwin is looking down on us all - and once again Smiling.

To the family of Darwin, I would have lunch with him when he worked at RCRH he always had a smile and would visit with me in the halls and knew who I was what a great man. Phillip Rogers

Darwin was always a great friend of mine. He never complained about any pain and was always positive when he was having problems. He always had God and said God never had left his side. I will cherish our friendship and will meet him again in Heaven. I am sending my condolences to Tom and Amy as well as the rest of the family. He will always be missed and it was a pleasure to have taken care of him over the last 4 years!!
