Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

Christ was a great person. It was only last week I was telling a mutual friend that I needed to find Christ and check in on him. It had been many years since I last seen him. In 1981, Christ came to my home to introduce me to the Air Force. A few short months later I was wearing Air Force blue. I appreciate Christ for all that he did for his country. A slow, white-gloved, hand salute, and a moment of silence. You will be missed Christ Mayer.

He was a neighbor of ours for many years and we truly enjoyed our visits with him. RIP

Chris became one my first friends when we moved here. He was charming, smart and genuine. And had a very wy and delightful sense of humor. He was a good man and will be missed.
