My Dear Brother Chet. It has been almost a year. I can't believe you don't walk this earth, and live in AZ anymore. I've been so lost. I cry for you. Maybe to much. Thank You. For giving me who I am. I need the Strength most of all to carry my heavy heart. I know you're with family. I know you're happy. I just miss you. I just love you so much My Big Brother... Rest In Peace... Until we meet again...

RIP old Friend!! My heart goes out to Lee, Pat, Albert, Rich and all of Gerry family. I cried my eyes out when I heard that Paige was dead. You spent most of high school at the house on E Van Buren along with Terry Randall and a few others. It was because my Mom and everone else loved you so much. We camped, fished and drank a little too much sitting around the camp fire. We had a lot of fun in Phoenix too--like golfing at Orange Tree in Scottsdale on New Years Day. Your are also in Terry Salway's thoughts and prayers. I have many great memories that will go to the grave with me. Again, RIP Julio!!!!!!!

Chet had the most infectious smile! He always seemed like he was on your side even when he was competing. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed. Chet, Rest In Peace knowing you made everyone you touched smile! Tom Mueller, High School Friend

Chet was a great teammate and friend. I was proud to play basketball alongside him for three years at Central High. Before that, I had to play against him when he was at North Junior High. It was much better to have Chet as a teammate! Rest In Peace, old friend, we are all better for having known you.

Chet and I were school mates from grade school (Horace Mann ) , junior high ( North) and high school (Rapid City Central) we were not only friends but teammates basketball grade school into high school and baseball . Chet was the Enforcer on our basketball teams , protecting his smaller teammates, you would have to look very hard to find a better friend and teammate, Chester you were truly an original ! North Rapid Strong ! Big guy with an even bigger HEART !

I met Chet & Albert @ Knowood School in Rapid City, SD in 1964 & then we all attended Horace Mann School & NJH & Central High School; good child-hood memories of roaming North Rapid. I sold my first car to Chet, a 1967 Mustang GT, Robin-Egg-Blue, unfortunately a woman ran a red-light & broadsided Chet, car was totaled. Worked with Chet & Albert for a short period of time @ the State-Owned Cement Plant, also with Ben "Corky" Gerry & Casey Gerry.

Chester was like a father to me when I was younger. He taught me many life lessons and how to be strong in life situations. Thank you so much for your love and guidance in my life! I am saddened to hear of his passing! I know the Lord has Chester in His hands and that the blessings of God will be with his family! My prayers and love are with you all! May we all make Heaven our home to see Chet and our other loved ones one glorious day!
