Cheryl Jean Schlauger, 64, Rapid City, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House. Cheryl was born in Scottsbluff, NE to Walt and Elsie Schlauger. She graduated from the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in Colorado Springs, CO. She worked at the Jolly Rancher Candy Factory in Golden, CO before moving with her family to Sioux Falls. Cheryl enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her brother Rod (Vicki) Schlauger, nieces, Kaitlin, Chelsea, Ellie and Natalie, her sister Judy Cranford, all of Rapid City; nephews, Nathan Walter Schlauger, Rapid City; James Andrew (Patti) Herwig and grandnieces, Winnie and Sophia all of Houston, TX. Cheryl is also survived by many cousins in the Grand Junction and Montrose Colorado area. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Elsie Schlauger.
