Cecile Maude Lerew, 88, Rapid City died Thursday March 13, 2008 at her home. She was born March 29, 1919 to Thomas and Maryetta (Smith) Elliott in Faulk County. She grew up in the Faulkton area and graduated from Faulkton High School in 1938. Cecile was a farmwife in the Faulkton area until 1964 at which time she moved to Rapid City. She worked civil service at Ellsworth AFB retiring in 1981. Cecile devoted her life to her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and needlework. Cecile is survived by three sons, Everett (Sandra) Lerew, Valley, NE; Charles Lerew, Rapid City; Richard (Lyn) Lerew, Minneapolis, MN; one daughter, Kathy (Ian) Sigler, Rapid City; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Marie Rieker, Spearfish, a sister-in-law, Bonnie Elliott, New Underwood and her cat ‘Tiny’. She was preceded in death by her husband Buster in 1975, 2 sons, Thomas and Jerry, 2 daughters, Darlene and Darla Lerew, 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Sigler, Greg Lerew, her parents, four brothers, George, Victor, Don, and Gerald Elliott and two sisters, Elnora Krier and Laura Belle Wolf.
