Cathleen ‘Cathy’ M. Von Colln, 57, Rapid City, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Rapid City Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.Cathy fought a courageous battle against cancer with a positive, no quit attitude. Cathy was born May 8, 1956 in Rapid City to Bernard and Mary (Conover) Von Colln. She graduated from Central High School and received a Business Degree at the Northwest Business College. She worked in the insurance field for many years and was currently employed at the Dave Schmidt Insurance Agency. Cathy loved gardening, helping others, her family, camping in the hills and spending time with her grandson, Taven.She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Hauf; one grandson, Taven, Rapid City; her sister, Linda Roberts(Rick Hein) and one nephew, Jason Roberts, Frisco, CO, brother Mike (Rhonda) Von Colln, Rapid City, brother, Bob (Tammy) Von Colln and one niece, Mackenzie Von Colln, Rapid City, sister, Theresa Von Colln, Kansas City, MO and good friend, Ray Wilhelm.She was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Mary Von Colln and brother, Thomas ‘Tommy’ Von Colln.
