A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, December 16th, at 10 am at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethel Church Cemetery in Whitney, Nebraska, in the spring. A memorial has been established for Bethel Church.

In the routine of life, you expect to wake up, grab a cup of coffee and the paper and expect the day to go on as usual. Today, however, that wasn't the case. Today I read that a dear friend, a coworker of 15 years, a true artist with fabric & needle, passed away. Carol had the gift to listen, never judge and always treat everyone with the utmost respect. She was kind, giving and loving. She loved her family and life! I have so many fond memories of Carol and will treasure them forever. We always joked about certain things, we would say, "Must be a Nebraska Thing", because we both were born in Nebraska. My only regret in knowing Carol is that I didn't get up to visit with her before she joined the Lord Jesus Christ & Arnie, the man she loved! Rest in Peace Dear Friend!

I was honored to call Carol my friend and fellow quilter. She was an amazing quilter, strong and courageous. She was very much respected by many in the Guild. She always had a smile for everyone. She knew her limits and could be counted on to have the coffee ready for the Tuesday gathering. She will be missed.

Carol's love will continue in the Black Hill Quilt Guild of which she was a founding member. Her quilts will be a touch of love that she has left behind. Thank you Carol... may a Guild of Angels welcome you.
