I was privileged to know Bruce as a young man as I worked with his Dad (Lyle) at Sand Lake NWR. He was a bright light in his Family's eye and we had a very nice association by E-mail for the last few years. My condolences are with Pat and his family (including his sisters Judy and Sandra) in their time of loss. It is my wish that God will comfort you all in your loss.

Many fond memories of working with Bruce in Refuges and eventually training him in the PFW ways during his West River days. He left a legacy of habitat conservation in South Dakota for sure. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

My condolences to the family. I enjoyed working with Bruce on dam projects. We jointly staked one of the largest dams either one of us had ever built in Harding County and happy to report it is functioning well. Rest in peace my friend.

So sorry to hear of Bruce passing. I always enjoyed his company and mentorship in the Fish and Wildlife Service. He was one of the good guys.
