because of travel, I have belatedly learned of dear Blodwyn's passing. To Larry and Karla and all the family members: what a wonderful 100th birthday celebration you had for her: it was a joyous day and I know she enjoyed it immensely! Blodwyn was a valued and highly respected member of the Department of Education staff for many many years--an example to all. and how we marveled at the fact that she worked a second job and YET had time to bake goodies for the office, volunteer for causes which benefitted others, and, of course, travel to visit members of her beloved family. Thank you again for sharing her with us--I think we all knew her time was short but what a wonderful final celebration! She is wearing heaven's finest golden crown!

Mrs. VonWald was an incredible woman and I admired her greatly. When Mr. VonWald passed away the summer before Karla and I entered 7th grade, Mrs. VonWald and her children were a picture of grace in grief. I never heard any of them complain or display anger at how their life changed after his death. I believe that Mrs. VonWald set a high standard for all in how she lived her life. I saw that in her oldest daughter Sherri whose life was also cut too short by illness. I saw that in her son Larry in the kindness and concern he always showed his young sister. I saw it in Karla in her happy way and warmth to others. We send our strength and fondness to the family at your loss but also celebrate a life well lived.
