Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

I will forever admire Amy Sue for her kindness, knowledge, love of family and her proud roots. Her sweet smile and her Kentucky accent would alway set the tone that things are ok. Amy was a wonderful nurse and mentor and will truly be missed by those that were lucky enough to work with her. I have little doubt that at this moment she is enjoying the glories of Heaven. Rest in Peace dear Amy

Having worked with Amy at Regional Hospital, I am sorry to hear of her passing and extend my sympathy to her family. I remember her as a truly accomplished nurse and never had to worry about what care my patients would receive if she was taking care of them. As noted in an earlier post, she indeed belonged to the greatest generation of nurses at Regional H.

Amy was a great nurse and coworker. I was a new CNA and she taught me a lot. She always had a great smile and treated you just like any person she knew. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I will forever hold Amy up as an example of what a great nurse is--caring, great team player, taking the time to explain things to new employees, and no job that was beneath her to do. She taught me many things as a new grad and for that I am forever thankful. Thinking of all her family at this time.

Amy was the most beautiful woman I ever met. She was the first neighbor lady I met when we moved into the area. I will miss our walks to the mail box and all our talks. She was always a caring person . we shared a lot of our stories about growing up. RIP Amy

Dick, Steven and Shelly, Amy Sue was a very close friend and neighbor. When I first moved here she greeted me with a loaf of homemade bread and a gallon of sun tea to welcome me. She introduced me to many books but our favorite ones were the Mitford stories. I made her the OMC for two of her birthdays. One being her last.. She helped me to quite smoking 11 years ago Nov. She never judged me for my misgivings (swearing, taking a nip now and then, (I make wine with the gallon jar from the tea), and was always there to hear my woes with a kind word and a warm hug. We shared our garden triumphs as well as some failures. She shared her love of birds and flowers with my husband. Amy Sue helped me to pray again and i'm more then grateful to her for that ,as she knew before she left us. I will see her again and rejoice. We are Blessed to know the Brumlow family. We morn your loss and grieve with you. God Bless you all. Jeanne and Steve Hoier

To Amy's Family: Amy was the most wonderful person anyone could know. She was working when I started as a new nurse at Regional and she was so welcoming and helpful to me. She had a wonderful sense of humor and she treated everyone she cared for with respect. She was the role model of what a nurse should be. I am so sorry to here of her passing and I offer my sincere sympathy to you all. Rest in peace and know that you made a very big difference in many people's life.

Amy shall forever be my number one mentor. She was so knowledgeable, kind, humorous, and, always running circles around evey nurse she worked with! Her “hills of Kentucky” stories were a delight, her accent enhancing crucial moments in each story. She always loved Audrey Hepburn as they shared a long, graceful neck. Amy goes into the “books” as THE greatest generation of nurses to grace the doors of Rapid City Regional Hospital. Dick, Steven, thank you for sharing this lovely lady. Our hearts rejoice in having known Amy Sue. Our hearts are sad for her leaving this life but, I am most certain her and Vera (and others who have left us) were singing at the top of their voices when they met again!
